THOUGHTS OF A
     CANADIAN PENSIONER CONCERNED...AT 80
On September 13, 2007, I celebrated my 80th birthday. The date of my birth is certainly unremark-able in the history of this country or that of humanity, however, the 13th day of September, 1750 has significance in the history of Canada - long before my birth......

THE SPICE OF LIFE
I have been asked, "What do grandparents get out of hockey"? The answer is simple - we get a lot out of it. The other day while walking into the school to pick up my grandson, I came around the corner of the school and one voice interrupted a group of boys playing with a soccer ball, calling out, "Here comes a Hockey Grandpa", ........

OUR SENIOR "PRISONERS"
A recent Toronto Sun cover story and a publisher's letter written by Kathryn M. CRUISE CONTROL CAUTION

Never use the cruise control when the pavement is wet or icy. If the cruise control is on and your car begins to hydroplane - when your tires lose contact with the pavement - your car will accelerate to a higher rate of speed and you will take off like an airplane. You have little or no control over a car when it begins to hydroplane, said a highway patrolman.
