IN MEMORIAM
Dorothy McKinnon and Elizabeth MacVicar, two long-serving members of CPC, died recently. Dorothy McKinnon represented CPC Ontario Division on the Board of the Ontario Coalition of Senior Citizens' Organizations (OCSCO). She was a founding member of NAC (National Action Committee for Women) and of OWW (Organized Working Women) and was a member of the Mayor's Committee on Aging. In 2005 she was honoured by the Congress of Union Retirees of Canada "For outstanding contribution to labour, the social movement, and union retirees". Elizabeth MacVicar was treasurer of both CPC National and the Ontario Division and treasurer of the Diabetes Type II Project. She volunteered at Sunnybrook Hospital for many years and was an enthusiastic Scottish country dancer.

Meeting May 26, 2008
- Sylvia Hall and Christine Mounsteven presented a brief to the Senate Committee on Aging in Welland on May 8th.
- A letter was sent to Industry Canada protesting the new regulations proposed on patent drugs.
Meeting June 16, 2008
- CPC Ontario Division is collaborating with P.O.I.N.T (People and Organizations in North To-ronto) to present a Forum on Poverty October 21.
- CPC Ontario Division had a display at the Seniors Wellness Fair in Toronto.
Meeting September 22, 2008
- Margaret Watson will attend a meeting of Affordable Housing Action Now, a committee of the Toronto Housing Seniors Council
