As well as the Statement of Revenue and Expenditures for the operating budget, the audited figures for 2009 include three special accounts. The first is a New Horizons grant with which we have updated some office equipment and will also purchase sound equipment for meetings. The other two are projects, the Speakers Bureau and the Portals Project, which have been described by the President.

Although both revenues and expenditures were less than anticipated in the budget, we had less cash in hand going into 2010 than in previous years. We acknowledge with gratitude the continuing support of our major corporate donor, the Canadian Generic Pharmaceutical Association. The Board appreciates the ongoing support of our members through their membership fees and the generosity of those members who are able to provide additional contributions.

The Reports presented this morning show how much is achieved by the Board and Committees with very little funds. Strong fundraising efforts are vital to the continuance of the work of the Division. As well as the financial support of members we need the contribution of fresh ideas and time from more of you for the efforts to be successful.
